Taryn Barley - Head Coach and Open's Coach

Taryn is passionate about building close and positive relationships between coaches and players while ensuring a careful balance between athlete accountability and establishing a foundation for athletes to feel supported and empowered to develop their netball knowledge.

Taryn has her Elite Coaching Accreditation which she completed in 2017.  She held the 15U State Team Assistant Coach role from 2017 - 2019 and was reappointed to the role in 2020.  She was also the 17U State Team Fever in Time (FIT) Assistant Coach in 2018 and 2019.

Taryn was the Netball Specialist Program Coordinator at Melville Senior high school since 2019 - 2024. Taryn has also played an integral part in the  Hammersley Netball Club Coaching their Division 1 Team 2 in 2019 and also as the Head Coach for the West Coast Netball Region Academy in 2016 and 2017.  Taryn also held the Warriors in Time (WIT) Coach role in 2017.

In 2020, 2021 and 2022, Taryn led the Rangers 20U team to the finals, winning the 20U WANL Premiership in 2021 and achieved the Netball WA Coach of the Year 2021.  She is looking forward to another successful 2026!

Mark McCoach - Open's Assistant Coach

Having recently achieved his Intermediate Coaching Accreditation, Mark will take on the role of Opens Assistant Coach in 2026. This follows a successful year in 2025 as the Opens Apprentice Coach, while he also continues his playing duties with our 2026 Men’s team.
 
Mark has always had deep passion for netball, he loves to see the game evolve and endeavours to be a creative coach that assists players in elevating their skills to keep achieving their best.
 
Mark has coached Open Division 1 for Northern Raiders at WDNA for the past 2 years, various association teams for JNA from 2020-2024 and is currently the Specialist Netball Coach at Warwick Senior High School.
 
As a current West Coast Thunder Men’s Opens player, a 6+ year WANL career and a former Australian 23&U Vice Captain, Mark is looking to bring his experience and fresh knowledge to our energetic and exciting Rangers Open team in 2026.

Sharon Dawson - Men's Coach

Sharon is an experienced Advanced accredited coach returning for her sixth season with Rangers in the WANL competition, combined with over 26 years coaching experience in the Goldfields, Pilbara, and Perth regions.

Her work as a Specialist Netball Teacher, Association Development Officer, and recently appointed West Coast Thunder Men's Open A coach for Nationals in 2026, makes her a coach in good stead to impart the knowledge and expectations required for improvement in the elite pathway.
 
As Men's Head Coach alongside an additional role as an Opens Assistant Coach in 2026, she is ready to push her teams for further success. Sharon's passion for the club and both the women's and men's netball pathway is all encompassing in what she brings to the club, and we are privileged to have her continued leadership and expertise guiding our athletes.

Trudy Cammell - Mens Assistant Coach

Trudy is an advanced coach with 20+ years of netball playing, umpiring (holding a National B Badge), and coaching experience. She is a two-time Fever In Time coach and long-time FNA representative level coach, with experience working with junior to senior athletes on the Netball WA pathway.
 
She prides herself on her meticulous approach to fundamental skills and her ability to implement advanced, game-changing strategies, and is excited to step into new territory supporting our men’s team in 2026.

Rebecca Roberts - 21U Coach

Rebecca Roberts (nee Elborough) heads our 21U Team for the third year in Season 2026.
Rebecca joined the club in 2024 bringing with her an invaluable background as both a former elite athlete and coach with an Advanced Accreditation to the WANL environment.  
​
Her extensive CV includes roles as a former Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS)  Strength and Conditioning Coach, and former Victorian State team athlete 21/U and 19/U.  In WA over the past 20 years, Rebecca has also had appointments for the WA State 17U,19U and 21U as a head coach and assistant role. Her experience also extends to a WAIS Development Coach for netball in WA during 2003/04.

Rebecca is a former National League player for both the Melbourne Kestrels (1998) and the Perth Orioles (2000 – 2001) and Orioles Specialist Coach in 2009/10. She is also currently a club and association coach at Fremantle Netball Association to this. In addition, Rebecca is the Head Coach and Teacher Coordinator in a Netball WA Tier 1 Endorsed Specialist School.
 
Her personal experience, skill knowledge and tactics alongside her patience and understanding of the needs of elite athletes, has been a precious addition to the Rangers club. Rebecca shares an obvious keen interest for the development pathway and passion for mentoring young athletes to achieve their dreams.

Kelly Dominiak - 21U's Assistant Coach

Working as a Regional Development Coordinator in the Great Southern for the last 10 years – Kelly coordinated and implemented coach/player programs, accreditation and education workshops.  Kelly worked through NWA’s Coach pathway via the Regional Academy Program (DADRA and Fever in Time) and coached representative teams at Academy Cup/State Cup to achieve her Advanced Coaching Accreditation at the end of 2019.

Between 2020-2023 Kelly was appointed the Head Coach of the Great Southern Regional Academy Sport Netball Program (GS RASP) delivered by Netball WA (NWA).  The opportunity to bridge the gap for regional pathways - through nurturing talent, improving skills, and preparing athletes for more competitive environments, enabled the program to receive funding and support from Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. 
Kelly created a high-quality development program for identified athletes, coaches, and officials, committed to progressing to higher representation within the sport of netball.

Kelly believes in fostering a positive and inclusive team culture that prioritises hard work, resilience, and personal growth. She focuses on developing athletes both on and off the court, encouraging them to set and achieve their individual and team goals.  This philosophy along with her dedication to regional development has seen the highest number of representatives from the Great Southern region with over 13 athletes and officials now competing in such competitions as the GIG WANL and selection into the Fever Futures State Team in 2025.

Kelly is looking forward to collaborating with the talented Rangers Coaching panel and continue to hone and develop her coaching within the WA Netball League.

Lauren Radici - 21U Assistant Coach

Lauren is joining Rangers as the 21’s Assistant Coach for 2026. With a deep passion for netball, Lauren is especially dedicated to the development and growth of athletes both on and off the court.
 
Lauren has earned her Intermediate accreditation and is currently progressing toward her Advanced accreditation. She has progressed through the Netball WA coaching pathway, having coached at various levels including Club, Association and within the Fever in Time program.
 
In addition to her coaching experience, Lauren is the Development Officer at Swan Districts Netball Association and the Head of Netball at Guildford Grammar School. She brings a wealth of knowledge with a strong emphasis on connecting with athletes and building meaningful relationships that translate to success on the court.
 
Lauren is incredibly excited to join the Rangers coaching team and looks forward to mentoring and supporting young athletes in achieving their goals. 

Maggie Carroll - Scouts Coach

Maggie is a passionate netballer and has a love for fitness, leadership and coaching.

Maggie has had many years’ experience as both a player and coach. Originally from Canberra, she played in Division 1 State League competitions in both the ACT & NSW, and represented the ACT at State Level. After moving to Perth 11 years ago, she continued her netball with Darling Rangers in State League. 

A qualified Intermediate Coach, and a Rangers Apprentice Coach in 2022 furthered her coaching. In 2019 she coached the U16’s SDNA Metro League Team and the SNDA Open team in 2018. Prior to that, she was the Under 12 Rangers Head Coach in 2017 and ACT School girls Assistant Coach in 2003. In 2024, she took on the position of coach of the WANL Futures underpinning team, Scouts.


Maggie uses her own journey in the player pathway to build resilient and hard working athletes, and educate our Scouts players on all aspects of development required to be successful in the next step of the netball pathway.

Alexis Kiernan - Scouts Assistant Coach

Alexis takes on the role of Rangers WANL Futures Assistant Coach, bringing with her a deep passion for netball and a commitment to developing young athletes. Her journey in the sport began at a young age and evolved into a love for coaching, where she thrives on fostering players’ growth both on and off the court.

Currently working towards her Intermediate Coaching Accreditation, Alexis has already gained extensive experience coaching across various levels. She has coached U16s Metro League athletes at SDNA, U14s and U16s development teams, and in 2024 was a Fever in Time U14s apprentice coach. She has built a reputation for her strong communication skills and ability to connect with players.

Alexis’ coaching philosophy emphasises teamwork, skill development, and creating a positive environment that inspires athletes to reach their full potential.

With a focus on continuous learning and a genuine passion for the game, Alexis is excited to be part of the Rangers program and looks forward to contributing to its success in 2026 and beyond.

Abby Rowe - Scouts Apprentice Coach

Abby Rowe joins the Rangers WANL Futures squad in Season 2026 as an Apprentice Coach, bringing a strong coaching, umpiring and leadership background.

Abby holds an Intermediate Coaching Accreditation, is a Health and Physical Education Teacher and Netball WA Specialist Program Coordinator. In 2025, Abby was appointed an apprentice Fever in Time 16U’s Apprentice Coach and has been a head coach at association level for 5 years.

Her youthful experience, alongside umpiring pathway success, gives her great insight into the athlete–umpire perspectives of netball. Her commitment to youth development makes her a valuable addition to Rangers in 2026.
